The house is fully furnished in pine Mexican furniture.  Patio furniture for both balconies and outdoor eating area are also included.  Other amenities are:

  • air conditioning in the bedrooms (summer only – you don’t need it in winter)
  • satellite TV with US and Canadian channels
  • DVD player and selection of popular movies in English and French
  • Radio and loudspeakers for Ipod and other MP3 players
  • 2 Mexican hammocks for relaxing on the terraces
  • 2 chaises longues for sunbathing
  • 2 beach chairs
  • Snorkelling equipment for two
  • A charcoal barbecue, built into the yard

A fully equipped kitchen with cooker, fridge, 13 kg washing machine, microwave, blender, toaster, coffee maker, electric kettle, iron and ironing board and full kitchen ustensils.

An electric water cooler. Three ice coolers of different sizes are handy for trips to the supermarket to buy meat and dairy products – or just for keeping drinks cold by the pool.

All linens, including sheets, towels and beach towels, are provided.

A cell phone is also available for your use: all you have to do is buy pre-paid cards.  Incoming calls are free.

A maid will clean the Villa once a week during your stay; this is included in the rental.

Telchac Puerto has several high speed internet cafes which are a five minute walk from the Villa.

There are also delicious fresh seafood restaurants which are open at lunchtime every day.

Los Tiburones and La Picuda, a 3 minute walk from the house serve fresh ceviches, frilled fish, tortillas, quesadillas, tacos, guacamoles and refried beans.

Local shops and small restaurants also serve take out panuchos (a kind of taco which is typical of the Yucatan) and local fried fish.

Several local grocery stores sell all the basics you need including ice, canned foods, beer and soft drinks, purified water, dairy products and bread.

A further and more extensive choice of shopping is available at the large supermarket in Progreso, 25 mins away, or Motul, 20 minutes away.

Modern medical facilites are available in Progreso and Merida.
